Meet Claire, the visionary founder behind Chime Agency, a specialised marketing powerhouse catering exclusively to agencies.

As well as studying the benefits of AI for agencies, Claire has also been harnessing the power of AI directly, developing Diced.ai. The tool harnesses AI to slice and dice long-form content enabling marketers to be more efficient and get greater value from their original thought leadership.

The project is funded by a government grant through Innovate UK’s Creative Catalyst programme, with the commercial launch in early 2024.
Claire will be sharing key learnings from her journey and where she sees the opportunities for agency leaders to use AI in the years to come.

Meet Tom McGivan.

As an Associate in Brunswick’s ESG & Sustainable Business team, Tom has spent nearly a decade helping companies navigate and build reputation on a range of ESG issues. Tom is particularly interested in society’s relationship with technology, including issues related to ethics, human rights and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

He is a Fellow of the RSA and began his career as an academic researcher in international political economy at Durham University’s School of Government and International Affairs. He holds a BA in Politics & International Relations and Economics from Durham University and is about to start an MSc in Data and Artificial Intelligence Ethics at the University of Edinburgh.

Tom is an Associate at Brunswick Group, a leading global advisory agency, that recently ranked first in PRWeek’s Top 150 Consultancies for the second year in a row.

In his role, Tom has worked with several leading AI companies, advising on their approach to critical regulatory and societal issues. He is a member of Brunswick’s AI Steering Committee, shaping the firm’s approach to the use of AI tools and how it advises clients on the subject.

Later this year, Tom will also start an MSc in Data and Artificial Intelligence Ethics at the University of Edinburgh, intending to study the role of companies in addressing the ethical challenges associated with the evolving AI landscape.

Meet Emily Ransley.

Keynote speaker Emily is an Engineer at IBM specialising in Data and AI. On a daily basis, Emily develops cloud-based applications using user-centric methodologies to solve critical business issues from compliance and supply chain optimisation, to customer care automation and mental health support, all with Data and AI at the heart of them.

Outside this, Emily has been an active member of IBM Technology’s Shadow Board, bringing other voices to management and IBM’s Tech4Her network. Emily is also actively involved in encouraging more underrepresented groups into technology through panels, workshops and mentoring.

As well as working with Data and AI tools on a daily basis, Emily has a masters in Human and Social Data Science, bringing the critical need for keeping humans in the loop into her work and wider conversations when it comes to safe AI practices.

In addition, Emily was recently at London Tech Week presenting on governance aspects of emerging AI technologies including IBM’s watsonx. Emily has a particular interest in translating the technical into the digestible and helping businesses and individuals understand AI better.

Abb-d Taiyo is the co-founder of Driftime® – a design and impact agency working exclusively with progressive brands and businesses towards an impact-driven future. As an impact-driven creative agency first, Driftime® may not directly work within AI or develop AI tools, but work very closely with client partners that are changing the game through innovation.

From designer tools like Modyfi, an AI-native creative tool with real-time collaboration taking the creative industry by storm (also on the board of Driftime®), through to global efforts with The Quad Investors Network that was launched at the G7 summit in Japan and announced at The White House, implementing infrastructure and innovation through AI, quantum computing, clean energy and more.

Abb-d has an active curiosity for where AI could go (both in its potential triumphs and setbacks) and excited to explore where agencies can play a meaningful role.

Having successfully built and managed a 50-person marketing agency, Michael turned his attention to creating online courses, attracting over 300,000 enthusiastic learners.

Currently, Michael helps countless agencies embrace AI rather than fear it. He is also authoring a book on Prompt Engineering for the prestigious O’Reilly Media.
