DESCRIPTION:“Giving and receiving feedback is all about diving in. The more you do it\, the better you get.” \nFor many\, feedback is a bit like flossing: you know it’s important\, but it’s easy to put off. \nSometimes you avoid it because it feels awkward. Other times you think\, “I’ll let it slide” – and suddenly six months have passed and the issue’s still there. \nOr worse: it’s grown teeth. \nAndy Brown\, leadership coach and non-exec\, sees this happen all the time. And a lot of it\, he says\, is psychological. \n“Giving feedback is as psychological a process as receiving it\,’ he explains. \n“It’s about being open to hearing feedback\, but also being inquisitive and observing yourself. Good leadership is about being able to observe your own behaviour\, and get out of your own head.” \nIn this session\, we’ll be exploring: \n\nThe JFDI approach to giving feedback.\nThe different ways of giving and receiving feedback – and finding what works for you\, and your team.\nHow practice makes perfect.\n\nIf you’re trying to get better at giving feedback\, or you want to embed a more better feedback culture within your agency\, this is the perfect session. \nThis event is for members.
